What is the vision
for this church?
Why is it necessary to start a new church in Marion, SC?
These are the two main questions that Pastor Jason asked God when instructed by him to step out and start this new work in Marion.
These are the two passages of scripture that the Lord responded with:
Ezekiel 37: 1-14 and John 11:25
In Ezekiel God gives the prophet Ezekiel a vision about the valley of dry bones. God is telling Ezekiel what to do in order to bring life to what is dead and dry.
Ezekiel 37:10 says, “So I prophesied as he commanded me, and the breath came into them, and they lived, and stood up upon their feet, and exceeding great army.”
In John 11 Jesus raises Lazarus from the dead. Again, we see death replaced with life by the power of God.
John 11:25 says, “Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:”
Our vision is to bring restoration to this city and beyond through the preaching of the uncompromised word and the power of the Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit said to Pastor Jason, “I have not called you to the thriving, growing cities, but to the places of desperation. It is there that I will bring restoration through my word and by my spirit.” We are simply obeying God’s command.
God is raising up an exceeding great army in our midst!
Resurrection Life Church exists at the sole direction of God. The Lord sent us to breathe the Life of God into this community. Many would say it is crazy to come to a struggling community but God saw this community differently and we are honored to be here and follow him.
We believe in the un-compromised Word of God and the Power of the Holy Spirit. We desire that the broken and hurting can come and receive from God exactly what they need. We desire that those who have been in the faith for years can come and learn and grow.
We would like to personally invite everyone to come out and join us as we worship God and learn more about him.
